Many of you know I'm the editor and photographer for The Texas Gun Collector magazine. I print my stories more in the magazine now and I'm sorry to say I neglect this site. I did break down and take a few new pics of a pistol I've had for some time. A Prewar National Match that I would say is 96-97%. Correct MB barrel and a nice 2 tone mag. I hope you enjoy the post.

If you ordered archive letters back in December, good news, they are being typed up.
You should have received an invoice in your email. Please check, if you don't get one check your spam or let me know.
It take the archives a little time to type up the letters, but you should see them in the next 2-3 weeks.

Letters have been mailed out and several of you have responded that they have been received. If you ordered letters, unless you're outside the US, you should probably have them by now.
There were several interesting letters. A couple that went to Wolf and Klar, one to Zion Merchantile, a store started by Brigham Young in Salt Lake City in the 1800's, one to Sears and Roebuck Co. in Chicago and one to Sherman, Texas.
It's always very interesting to see what shows up!

The Archives is currently working on my (your) order. So, watch for your invoice, if you have one on order.

I try not to complain, and I assume everyone knows I do this for fun and research and if I'm lucky I might make 10 bucks on a 30 letter order, so I ask that if you order a letter, please pay for it. If you sell the gun let me know, so I can cancel the order. I would greatly appreciate it. When someone orders a letter and then decides at the last minute they don't want or need it, it leaves me hanging and I have to eat the cost of the letter. If that continues to happen, I'll just stop doing letters. I do it as a collector service, not to make money, but I don't want it to cost me money. I hope everyone understands that. Thanks. That's all folks!
