⚠️ SCAM ALERT – Spring Lake area residents ⚠️

The Spring Lake Police Department is warning the public about a phone scam where callers are impersonating law enforcement and claiming you have an outstanding warrant, citation, or subpoena that requires immediate payment.

These calls may even appear to come from a police department number. This is NOT legitimate.

Important reminders:
• Police will NEVER demand payment over the phone
• No government agency will ask you to pay immediately to avoid arrest
• Do NOT provide personal or financial information

What to do:
👉 Hang up immediately
👉 Do not engage with the caller
👉 If unsure, call the agency back using an official, verified number

Please share to help protect others in our community.
