Serving our community is never a one-person job. It takes teamwork, trust, communication, and shared commitment to providing the highest level of care when people need it most. This week, the Spring Lake Fire Department proudly recognizes our partners at Ottawa County Central Dispatch Authority during Dispatch Appreciation Week.

We are incredibly grateful for the calm, skilled, and steady voices behind the scenes who play a critical role in every call we respond to. From gathering vital information to coordinating resources and supporting responders in real time, their work is essential to the safety of our crews and our community.

Thank you for your professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment—day in and day out. We truly could not do this job without you.

This week, members of the Spring Lake Fire Department taught CPR to local scouts as they prepare for their trip to Philmont High Adventure Base.

These life-saving skills will help them stay safe and look out for one another on their journey. 💪

This week, the Spring Lake Fire Department crew spent Monday night focusing on airway management—one of the most critical skills in EMS.

While it’s not always brand-new information, these trainings are essential. They give us the opportunity to revisit the basics, refine our techniques, and make sure we’re always ready when it matters most.

In emergency situations, preparation and repetition save lives. That’s why we continue to train, discuss, and improve together.
