As part of our 20th Anniversary celebration, we are offering an opportunity to explore the hills and rivers of Tennessee as part of our Summer Adventures for the summer of 2023.

Our Expedition Tennessee five-day adventure includes camping, white-water rafting, biking, climbing, hiking and exploring the Ocoee River and surrounding areas.

We also have a cool surprise activity in Georgia as the group travels back to Florida. Every day is action packed with adventure!

Registration is first-come, first-served and a non-refundable deposit is required for us to hold a spot for you.

After the initial deposit, a monthly installment plan is offered to make this opportunity a reality for all of our GCA families.

Our Science Teachers need copper pennies, which are any pennies made before 1982. If you have any pennies laying around, please send them in for cool science experiments! Thanks for your help!

GCA does not observe the half days like the Hernando County School District. This can sometimes be confusing when it comes to busses, since we at GCA have a full school day. This picture is a chart that should help explain which busses are available during the county half days.

The Trunk-OR-Treat Event is part of our Horrible Halloween Dance Party on Friday, October 28, 2022.

Save the Date!

Show off your creative side and decorate your vehicle for one of the scariest Trunk or Treats in town.

GCA students having just survived the Halloween Party will be on the hunt for candy, and lots of it!

You must arrive ON TIME to claim your parking territory or the "gatekeeper" will turn you away!

You arrive: 8:00PM You Reunite with your child at 9:30PM.

You earn three (3) flat rate volunteer hours for your efforts! What is expected of Trunk-or-Treat volunteers?

Express your creative side… we’d like you to jazz up your trunk, truck bed, mini-van or SUV cargo area with some decorations and perhaps some lights, props, etc.

We also ask you to bring some individually wrapped (NEW) candy treats, enough for about 220 hungry (or greedy) Trunk-or-Treaters. (No GUM!!)

Mark your calendars for School Photo Day!
School photo day will be on Thursday, Sept, 8 OR Friday, Sept. 9th, depending on your team.

Everyone will have their photo taken for the YEARBOOK so please dress nicely.

We will post your team’s photo day the week prior.

We have VERY reasonable photo package prices (starting at $15) and will send order forms home the week prior.

Remember, a middle school yearbook brings a lifetime of fun!

We will follow the Hernando County School Calendar for the 2022-2023 school year.

This includes vacations, early releases, professional days and any weather closures or school cancellations.

There is only ONE exception.

The monthly early release dates for teacher training will be full instructional days for our school!

Please DO NOT schedule any trips or vacations during the school year as that will be considered a breach in our attendance policy.
