The Porters Community Fire Company is an all volunteer company located in York County, Pennsylvania, in the village of Porters Sideling, and provides coverage to over15 square miles of Heidelberg Township. Heidelberg Township has approximately 3300 residents, and includes parts of Codorus State Park. We provide mutual aid to North Codorus Township, Jackson Township, Codorus Township, Paradise Township, Jefferson Borough, and other local municipalities.

Engine 53-2 and Utility 53 responded to assist United Hook & Ladder Company #33 on the barn fire last evening. Engine 53-2 operated as a Tanker and shuttled water, while the crew was sent forward to assist with suppression. Chief 53 was the water supply officer. 53 units returned to service around midnight.

This afternoon at 1338 hours, Engine 53-2 was alerted for Box 12-01 to assist Station 12 (North Codorus) with a residential Structure Fire. Engine 53-2 responded quickly, and on arrival picked up Engine 47-1's (Jefferson) supply line at the hydrant. The crew was sent forward to assist with fire suppression. Engine 53-2 operated for over 2 hours on the incident. Chief 12 had the Command. NYCRPD is investigating.

1254 - Box 79-01 - Brush Fire - Canceled prior to response.

1502 - Box 47-04 -Water Rescue - Utility and Boat 53 canceled enroute.

1557 - Box 47-05 - Residential Structure Fire - Engine 53-1 crew staged on arrival until released.

This morning at 0922 hours, Engine 53-2 was alerted on the 1st Alarm Assignment for Box 11-07 to assist Nashville Volunteer Fire Department Station 11 with a high risk structure fire.
Engine 53-2 responded with a crew of 3. Chief 4 arrived reporting piles of sawdust on fire in the structure with some extension to the roof material. Upon arrival, Command advised Engine 53-2 to assume first due Engine responsibilities. One attack line was placed in service with the crew from Rescue 4 and 53-2, and working with the property owner, the fire was quickly contained and knocked. Engine 53-2 was supplied by Tanker 11. After overhaul, the fire was determined to be out. Engine 53-2 returned to service.
