Last month, students from across SGAHS came together for a Leadership Summit after being nominated by their Mission Control (homeroom) teacher for the leadership potential they demonstrated throughout the school year.

Through sessions on communication, critical thinking, creativity, resilience, and learning through failure, students had opportunities to collaborate, reflect, and strengthen their leadership skills.

Thank you to our Rocket Leadership and Student Lighthouse students, their advisors, and Mr. Reck, Mrs. Thatcher, and Mrs. Schlies for helping make the summit a success.

Ella Bahn does it again...a four-time state champion!!! 🥇🥇

SGAHS senior Ella Bahn added two more gold medals at the 2026 PIAA Track & Field Championships, finishing her incredible high school career with a total of 7 state titles!

🏆 300M Hurdles: State Champion for the fourth straight year, setting a new SG school record of 41.29 (breaking her previous record of 41.98 from 2024)
🏆 100M Hurdles: State Champion and now a three-time state medalist in the event

Also representing the Rockets as State Medalists:
🏅 Andrew Ge**er: 4th place, 400M Dash, also setting a new SG school record of 48.78 (breaking the previous mark set in 1977 by Jeff Noel!)
🏅 Boys 4x100 Relay - Cam Hoff, Andrew Ge**er, Davon Melbourne, Bredon Smith: 4th place

State Runner-Up!! 🚀

Our Unified Track & Field Team won 2nd place at the 2026 PIAA Interscholastic Unified Track & Field State Championships, finishing the season as state runner-up!

This is an incredible accomplishment and a reflection of the hard work, determination, and teamwork this group showed all season long. Go, Rockets!

With one final countdown, the Spring Grove Area High School Class of 2026 officially closed out their last day of classes last Friday. Surrounded by classmates, teachers, and staff, seniors celebrated the moment together before taking their next steps toward graduation and beyond.

Career Day at New Salem Elementary was a huge success! Students had the opportunity to connect with presenters, ask thoughtful questions, and explore a wide range of career paths.

We greatly appreciate our presenters for sharing their insights and experiences, along with all of our volunteers for taking the time to inspire our young Rockets. A big thank you to Mrs. Dugan, NSE school counselor, for organizing such a meaningful experience.
