The Spring Green Community Library (formerly the Bossard Memorial Library and the Spring Green Library and Reading Room) was established on April 20, 1923. Lexington Street (current site of the Village Hall) to its current location, opening to the public on April 14, 1996. The building was designed by Charles Montooth, an architect and apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright.

Join us for a fun and creative art experience as we turn beautiful leaves into inspiration for watercolor postcards! Explore color, texture, and nature while creating your own one-of-a-kind postcards. Then, share a little piece of your creativity with someone special—send your handmade postcard to a friend, family member, or even a stranger and brighten their day with a little art and kindness!

Everyone is welcome!

Presenter: BillieJo Scharfenberg, A native Mid-Westerner, raised in rural Wisconsin, the artist journeyed to New England in 1990. On completing her degree in Fine Arts, she embarked on her long dreamt of career as a professional artist, with stained glass as her primary medium. Upon returning to Wisconsin, BillieJo has offered her professional talents to the community as gallery and exhibition curator, teacher, and mentor.

The Friends of the Spring Green Community Library will accept donations of gently used books, DVDs, and CDs for resale tomorrow, September 5, from 10 AM to noon.

Donations of no more than four boxes are preferred. Proceeds from book sales help support library programs and other amenities. Damaged books, encyclopedias, textbooks, and instruction manuals are not accepted, and the Friends reserve the right to limit the quantity of items accepted and/or refuse donations that do not meet library needs.
