Need a great location to hold a yard sale? Participate in our yard sale at the library on Saturday, May 3rd. Only $6 for a spot on the grass or $8 on the hard-top. Register at the library. Must provide your own table.

Although we have suffered some huge losses we plan to meet Wednesday, Jan. 8 @ 10: am. We have many things to talk about and resolve.

We are all saddened by the news of the passing of our fellow Friend of the Library. R.I.P. Tammy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Audrey Pack Memorial Library Foundation, P. O. Box 129, Spring City, TN 37381.

Tammy A. Wood, 49, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at her residence.

Born in Dunkirk, New York, Tammy was the daughter of Clarence and Patricia Baker Wood. She was a graduate of the University of New York Fredonia. Tammy was a writer of children’s books and a lover of animals. She moved from New York to the Spring City community 14 years ago. Tammy was active in the Audrey Pack Memorial Library in Spring City and the Wolf Creek Fire Department. She attended Wolf Creek Baptist Church and the Spring City United Methodist Church.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Wood.

Survivors include her mother Pat Wood and stepfather Marshall Patterson of Spring City and brother Ronald Wood of Knoxville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Audrey Pack Memorial Library Foundation, P. O. Box 129, Spring City, TN 37381.
