Friday night at 19.50 LFC was dispatched for an auto accident at Bridge and Church Streets in the Borough shortly after dispatch Squad, Ladder and Traffic 63 responded with Squad 63 arriving to a two vehicle crash blocking, Micu83 arrived and transported one to a local hospital. Bridge Street was shut down for about 1 hour until the cars were removed. Fire units returned shortly after. A reminder when Fire Police have roadways shut down obey their commands we had cars coming out roadways that were not shut down yet and driving around the accident scene on the pavement to get to an event in East Vincent Township which could have injured one of the First Responders.

On Thursday the LFC crew members took Ladder and Traffic 63 to Ducklings Early Learning Center in Spring City for our annual Fire Prevention Week program. The children were taught different fire safety things and a Firefighter dressed in full fire gear to let the kids know not to be afraid but the big hit of the day was Miss Shannon one of the Day Care providers who dresses in fire gear and walks around and gets high fives from all and plenty of smiles. After the program all the children got to go outside and see the trucks and get plenty of pictures taken. We want to thank them for having us up again we enjoyed the time and look forward to next year. Thank you to Ducklings Staff for letting us use your photos.
