Hope everyone is ready to cheer on our local team! We will be hosting the ASCE YMF Spokane Chiefs Hockey Night on Saturday December 3rd! Here’s the game plan: The game starts at 7:00 but we will be hosting a social at David’s pizza beginning at 5:30 to meet up and walk over to the game. We will be covering the cost of everyone’s ticket to the game plus some pizza at David’s beforehand! We need everyone to RSVP before December 1st so that we can purchase the tickets ahead of time. You can RSVP by going to the link in our Bio and filling out the google form. See you there!

Thank you to Habitat for Humanity-Spokane and Gonzaga University ASCE for an awesome volunteer event on Saturday (10/30) up in Deer Park. Glad we were able to help a great cause and have a great time making a difference in our larger community.

The Inland Empire YMF will be hosting Trivia at Brick West Brewing (1318 W 1st Ave) tomorrow night starting at 7:30. Please RSVP or stop by if you've got a free evening.

Are you a young member (35 or younger) of the Inland Empire chapter of ASCE? Are you looking to get involved and meet other local engineers 35 or under? If so, we have the opportunity for you!!!

The YMF Vice President and Professional Development Lead positions are open for the 2022-2023 term. Below are descriptions of the requirements and duties. Please get involved and help us continue to guide other young members within our community. Board membership does come with fringe benefits, amazing networking opportunities (locally, regionally and nationally), and opportunities to help grow this important organization. Thank you,

Vice President
The YMF Vice President will spend the first year learning about the YMF and assisting the president with tasks, including helping to organize YMF member events and attending the monthly officer meetings. The Vice President will also have the opportunity to attend the West Region Younger Member Council in the spring (past locations include Park City, San Francisco, and Honolulu). The Vice President will become the YMF President the following year.

Professional Development Lead
The YMF Professional Development Lead will help organize events geared around professional development. Tasks may include setting up field trips, arranging speakers, and organizing network events for the YMF member events. The Professional Development Lead will attend YMF officer meetings and provide input on the direction of the YMF.

Good evening YMF'ers! Tomorrow night we will be hosting trivia at Lumberbeard Brewing (25 E 3rd Ave, Spokane, WA 99202). Trivia starts at 7:15 and the first round is on us. Please feel free to bring yourself, coworkers, significant others, random civil engineers who you know - all are welcome. Outside food is allowed at the brewery; Dicks Burgers is across the street and they generally have a food truck on Tuesday nights as well. Please let us know if you have any questions by responding here.

Thank you to our volunteers on Saturday at the Friends of the Bluff's Lop & Drop event. As you can see we had a great time and have been informed that there will be another event in about a month - stay tuned for more info. It's a good way to get out and do some good work for the community and I highly recommend attending.
