Holy Cross Drive on the south side of campus will close for a major resurfacing project starting Monday, June 8. The closure runs from Dorr Road near Burke Golf Course to the Main Gate, meaning you will need to use East Gate to access campus. Construction is expected to continue through the month of July.

Multiple North Quad residences — Cavanaugh, Farley and Zahm Halls — will be renovated at some point in the future, University Architect Dan Cook said in an interview with The Observer.

Cook said that determinations on Keenan and Stanford have yet to be made.

“The specific timing of all North Quad dorm work is still being finalized,” Cook wrote in a follow-up email with The Observer.

Our annual summer bike round-up starts next week. If you are leaving campus for the summer, take your bike home with you.

Staying for summer classes or work? You need a brown wristband on your handlebars, or your ride will be removed starting Tuesday, May 26.

Grab your free wristband at the Hammes Mowbray Hall lobby today. Bring your bike with you so we can get it registered.

Faculty and staff do not need a band if your ride was registered before May 18. Otherwise, everyone needs that brown wristband.

We only hold onto removed, unregistered bikes for 30 days before they are gone for good.

Another successful Project Mom baby shower in the books. This time the topics were safe sleep practices and car seat safety (courtesy of Spokane Regional Health District and Providence’s car seat safety team)… our gift baskets included play mats from our global day of service sewing session, a couple of pairs of pajamas, an outfit, wipes and a box of diapers for each baby.

Two more are planned, likely towards the end of summer and before Thanksgiving

Today, we celebrate our J.D., Master's and Ph.D. (9 a.m.) graduates, commission our ROTC officers (9 a.m.), host a number of undergraduate diploma ceremonies (1 p.m.), and celebrate Commencement Mass (5 p.m.).
