πŸŽ“ Your Future Starts with a GED

Meet Ivan, one of our dedicated clients putting in the work toward earning his GED. Every assignment completed is another step toward new opportunities, career growth, confidence, and independence. We’re proud to walk alongside him on that journey. πŸ’ͺ

At Triumph, our GED program is more than test prep. We take a person-centered approach that meets each individual where they are, helping clients build skills, confidence, and real-life success at their own pace. Whether someone is returning to school after years away or balancing life, work, and family, we’re here with support that’s flexible, encouraging, and built around them.

Education changes lives, and we love seeing our clients prove to themselves just how capable they are. πŸŽ“πŸ”₯

The Greater Spokane FCS Coalition was created for local FCS providers, by local FCS providers. This monthly gathering is a place to connect, collaborate, share resources, and strengthen support for our community across Spokane County.

πŸ“£Big shout out to Cathryn Maland with Triumph Community Services for hosting an amazing Jeopardy-style game at our last meeting and Jonathan at Peer Spokane for his support and providing a wonderful space.

Learning, laughter, and community connection all in one room.

Join us every 2nd Monday of the month at Peer Spokane. Together we share trainings, referral updates, community resources, and ideas to better serve FCS enrollees and build stronger community partnerships.

If you are an FCS provider, care coordinator, behavioral health professional, housing support specialist, peer support advocate, or community partner in Spokane County, we would love to connect with you!

πŸ‘ Congratulations to Krestian!

We want to recognize Krestian for an important step forward in his journey. Krestian has openly acknowledged that he has struggled with addiction and has made the courageous decision to take it seriously and work toward a healthier future. His goal is to overcome his addictions and find meaningful employment. πŸ’ͺ

Krestian has also recognized the importance of support along the way and has chosen to work with Triumph Community Support as he continues moving forward with his goals and personal growth.

He is also grateful for the support he has received from his extended "family" at his living facility. They have been incredibly encouraging throughout his progress and have welcomed him back. The owners continue to celebrate Krestian's progress as we share updates about the positive steps he is making. ❀️

There is always more to the story behind recovery and growth, but every step forward matters. Today we celebrate this milestone and the certificate Krestian received as a reminder that small wins lead to big change. 🌟

πŸ“š Growth from within at Triumph!

Triumph Community Services recently wrapped up training for several new CDPs across our Spokane, Olympia, and Tacoma offices. It is inspiring to see our team continue to grow with dedicated professionals who are ready to support individuals and families in our communities.

CEO, Cathryn, continues to lead the way by bringing current information and new developments in our field into the learning process. πŸ₯”βœ¨ A little positivity goes a long way at Triumph!

At Triumph Community Services, we dedicate our support not only to our clients and community, but to each other as well. That is where our newest office tradition comes in. Meet the Positive Potatoe!

This adorable crocheted friend travels around our Spokane offices, landing on desks to give a little boost of morale. The Positive Potatoe is a reminder that we are never alone, to stay positive during challenging moments, and that with the right mindset we are capable of turning things around. 🌟

We are excited to share that CDP Rebekah White received the Positive Potatoe from her very own Valley Office cohort CDP Bob Olson. Rebekah handled a particularly challenging situation with quick thinking and incredible resourcefulness. She was able to turn the situation into a positive outcome, and that effort did not go unnoticed. πŸ‘

Awesome job, Rebekah! Your dedication and problem solving truly represent the spirit of teamwork and support here at Triumph.

Sometimes it is fun to share a little behind the scenes moment from our team. Because supporting our community starts with supporting each other. πŸ’™

πŸŽ¨πŸ“š Big news from Triumph!

Jason has released the first edition of his brand-new comic book series, Quantum Psychotherapy #1. Jason is currently enrolled at Triumph and is excited to share his creative work with the community.

Quantum Psychotherapy tells the story of a man who lives alone with three cleverly made toy friends. As he navigates the challenges of everyday life and anxiety, strange events begin to unfold around him. The story explores the balance between waking life, dreams, imagination, and mysterious forces called the Quantum Infinities. βš›οΈβœ¨

When unusual energies begin disrupting reality and probability itself, strange creatures and enemies start appearing. Just in time, the man's three toy companions come to life through a mysterious activation sequence, helping him face the supernatural challenges ahead. 🧸⚑

Jason is passionate about storytelling, comic book art, and creative writing. He is already working on the second edition of the series and is excited to keep expanding the world of Quantum Psychotherapy. πŸ–ŠοΈπŸ“–

✨ Meet Danny, one of the amazing people working toward his GED at Triumph.

Danny recently shared a talent that brings him joy and supports his mental health. He designs and hand makes beautiful, beaded bracelets. He says putting beads on the bracelets makes him feel better and happy. It helps him stay busy and focused in a positive way. πŸ’™

Danny learned how to make jewelry while he was at Eastern State Hospital. A kind nurse taught him the basics and gave him beads to practice with. During that time, Danny made more than 100 bracelets. The process helped him stay calm and feel happy again, and it continues to be an important creative outlet for him. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈβœ¨

While working toward his GED at Triumph, Danny is also turning his talent into a small source of extra income. You will be able to find his handmade bracelets for sale at Spencer's Antiques. Stop by and support local handmade jewelry while cheering on someone working hard toward his goals. πŸ›οΈπŸ“Ώ

A few fun facts about Danny:
πŸ’™ Favorite colors: blue and red
🏈 Favorite hobby: playing catch with a football. He can throw a perfect spiral and even played quarterback in high school.

Supporting education, mental health, and creative skills in our community is just a part of what Triumph is all about. Come check out Danny's bracelets and help support local talent. 🌟

Got interview clothes hanging in your closet that you no longer wear? They could make a huge difference for someone starting a new chapter.

Triumph’s Community Closet is currently in great need and accepting contributions of men’s interview clothing, and we are especially in need of Big & Tall sizes (2X and up). Our most urgent need right now is men’s pants in size 42x32.

These clothes help community members show up to interviews feeling confident, prepared, and ready to succeed.

Before contributing, please make sure items are:
β€’ Gently used
β€’ Clean and ready to wear
β€’ Appropriate for job interviews

If you have items to contribute, we’d love your support in helping someone take that next step toward employment. Please share to help us spread the word!

Have questions? Feel free to reach out to us at 509-443-4565 or visit our website at www.triumphwa.com/contact

πŸš€ Workforce Win Alert!

Triumph is proud to spotlight Carlos, a motivated applicant for the AmeriCorps!

Carlos impressed the AmeriCorps team during his interview with his strong work ethic, hands-on construction skills, and his commitment to serving the Spokane community. AmeriCorps intends to officially offer Carlos the position once he makes progress toward earning his GED.

To support his career goals, Carlos has now been enrolled in the Adult Basic Education GED Prep Program at Spokane Community College beginning Winter Quarter 2026, where he can build the academic foundation he needs for success in the construction trades and public service sectors. πŸŽ“πŸ“š

Key to Carlos’ forward momentum has been the support of CDP Kynlan who has helped him stay motivated, get connected to education, and navigate the steps needed for long-term career success. With steady guidance and encouragement from CDP

Kynlan and the rest of the Triumph team, Carlos is officially on the path toward his own Triumph through education, career pathway development, and community impact.

Join us in celebrating Carlos for taking this huge step toward a bright future. πŸ’ͺ✨
