The nights at camp always have something exciting. This year our all camp cabin event was "The Gauntlet." Teams had to get through puzzles, cooperative games, and challenges to earn puzzle pieces to complete "The Gauntlet." Thursday night is of course, our World Famous Odyssey concert.

We made it! And we’re through our afternoon sessions. We just experienced rain-but so far so good! Water studies, rock climbing, quad ball frenzy, rec hall, and the amazing Radical Rick Extreme Science demonstration!

Congratulations to the Odyssey Dragons Lego Robotics Team that was awarded the Chase Youth Award for Innovation in the Middle School group. In the Innovation Category, youth are awarded for finding creative or innovative ways to solve a community issue or problem.

In their First Lego League Competition, there is the robot competition and there is the innovation competition. This year they had to solve a problem in the field of archeology and create a product or presentation regarding this. The Odyssey Dragon team created a video game to teach elementary students about precious archeological artifacts and to bring awareness to prevent looting. They tested this game with several elementary classrooms.

Chase Youth Awards: Each year, the Chase Youth Commission honors our community’s outstanding youth, teens and an adult who are making a difference in our community or making positive choices. The purpose of these awards is to show youth we are proud of their actions and to feature them as community role models.

Odyssey Dragons Lego Robotics Team are definitely innovative, community role models. Congratulations to: Benny, Jayce, Rue, Leo, Kyle, Mac, Ryan, and Tucker.

Congratulations to both our 7th & 8th grade Math is Cool! teams which competed this past weekend. Each team scored 3rd place in their divisions! Congratulations to 7th graders Paxton, Mac, Jackson, and Keegan who also earned 6th place Individual. Congratulations to 8th graders Rishe, Brian, Clark and Taku and to Brian who earned 1st place Individual in their division.
