Hello my name is A1C Blood, I joined the Air-force in October of 2025. I am now the 3rd generation that has joined the Air-Force. And join many other family members in the Navy and Army who have served. My dad, who was in the Navy, said before I left for basic there would be life before the basic and a life after. I can wholeheartedly say that statement is true. I am not the same person the day I left for basic versus the person I am now 4 months later. I graduated basic training with Honors and was the only female from my squadron to do so. I was also the only recipient of the Flight Chief Award coming out of Tech school. My job in the Air-Force is Aircraft Fuel Systems where I will be maintaining fuel tanks for fighter jets. My first duty station is RAF Lakenheath in the UK. My reason to join the Air-Force was to better myself, gain life experience, and start building my future. Join the Air-Force to do the same. The lessons I have learned could never have been learned in the civilian world. Join to be apart of something bigger than yourself. Hello my name is A1C Cowin, I joined the Air Force in June of 2025. When I left for BMT I was a bit scared but I am so glad I made the decision. It was great knowing after graduating High School I had a career and steady employment with room for growth. I learned a lot about the Air Force and a lot about myself during those 8 weeks, I am thankful for all of my instructors for pushing me to get me to the Finish line. After BMT I went just a few blocks down the road to the Security Forces Academy. In Tech School I learned a lot about my career field, through applying things that I will be doing in the operational Air Force. Not only did I learn with my hands but also spent a lot of time in the classroom and taking Block tests. Posted Wondering what each stage of the Air Force is like once you enlist? Find out from some of our brightest.

⭐ Airman Peter Fontana II shows off everything he learned at BMT with the 737th Training Group’s graduation parade. This event signifies the official transition from trainee to Airman.

⭐ Senior Airman Andrew Lightner Jr. is an assistant dedicated crew chief assigned to the F-22 Raptor Aerial Demonstration team which means he assists with maintenance, pre- and post-flight routine checks, and much more.

⭐ Staff Sgt Keagan Arledge is the noncommissioned Officer in charge of mobile distribution for the 673rd Logistics Readiness Squadron. He ensures that his team is trained, knowledgeable and ready at a moment's notice when the mission demands it.
