‼️💧UPDATE 💧‼️

The latest update I have is that Harper Rural Water has not yet located the break in their line.

The City of Spivey is currently running on Harper Rural Water's back up system.

Our tower has refilled, but we still ask that you continue to conserve water until things are back in normal working order.

We will continue to update as things change.

Have a safe and happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸⭐🧨🎆

🚨‼️ATTENTION‼️🚨

Harper Rural Water District has a water line break, therefore the City of Spivey is not receiving water at this time. The water currently in the tower is all that will be available until Harper Rural Water discovers the source of the break in the line and fixes it.

‼️PLEASE CONSERVE WATER‼️
•DO NOT WATER LAWNS AND GARDENS
•DO NOT FILL CONTAINERS WITH WATER. WE WANT TO ALLOW EVERYONE TO HAVE WATER AS LONG AS POSSIBLE
•DO NOT LET WATER RUN WHILE BRUSHING TEETH, SHOWERING, ETC. (SHUT OFF WHILE SOAPING, ETC)
•DO NOT RUN DISHWASHER, WASHING MACHINES, OR SPRINKLERS

💧Check here for updates as they become available. Please share this information with friends and neighbors who may not have Facebook. 💧

📌Important Information and Reminders📌

☎️ PHONE ☎️
The phone line at City Hall is out of service. AT&T should be fixing the end of next week. In the meantime, the City Clerk may be reached for non-emergencies only during normal business hours at 620-243-2192. Emergency calls for water leaks, etc. can be reported to City Clerk at the same number at any hour.

💧STAFF 💧
We do have a new water and sewer department employee. You will be seeing someone different than the last few years reading your meter each month. We hope you will welcome her back to the team working for your hometown!

📝SURVEY📝
Surveys are currently being sent out to each residence in our service area for KDHE. Please take the time to fill out this survey to the best of your ability and return to City Hall. If you need assistance with the survey, feel free to reach out to the City Clerk and she can leave a message for you to receive a return call from the water department employee.

📷 SECURITY CAMERAS📷
City Clerk has recently had 2 customers request not to be recorded when they noticed our security cameras. Your elected officials approved the use of continuous recording cameras many years ago. About 18 months ago, the City Council voted to begin using motion activated sound and video recording cameras in and around City Hall. These are only shut off for executive sessions during council meetings and are otherwise on at all times when any motion is detected for the safety and protection of city staff and property. These videos are not shared with anyone, we are still protecting your privacy. Please try to keep in mind that most places of business have this same practice and it is not abnormal.

📬 BILLING 📮
Meters are read on the 20th day of each month and are mailed the following week. Last month, an estimated half our bills appeared to have been lost in the mail. Anyone who had not paid by the middle of September had a repeat bill mailed. If you received 2 copies of the same bill, this is why. It needs paid only once. New bills, due the 20th of October, were mailed today. If you already paid your bill due September 20th twice, the repeat payment will go towards your most current billing.

❗THANK YOU for taking the time to read this post. Please invite other citizens of Spivey to like and follow this page. It will be more active from this point forward. ❗
