Congratulations to Sperry Utility Services Authority on being awarded the Oklahoma Water Resoures Board loan forgiveness grant for $1.5 million. This money will go to upgrading our Wastewater Management System.
They also received the Rural Infrastructure Grant for $78,000.00 to purchase aerators for the Wastewater Management Systems. Thank you to the OWRB For seeing the financial needs that small towns need as they face eroding systems.

Town Administrator just informed me that Tulsa has had a major water line break at 66th st north and Peroria. The break is not on our side. They are working to get repairs done as quickly as possible. We will have low water pressure for several more hours.

Important information for those of you that live in Sperry. Starting tomorrow Tulsa County will be here to start the Phase I paving projects for the north section of town. If you live 1st street to 3rd street, from Main to Carter be aware of this project. It may be that they can only do one street at a time because of the weather which must be above 45 degrees. Be sure to move all vehicles, trash cans and other debris from the area so they can have full access to the road. This brings an end to the 3 year project to check and replace water lines, fulfill government mandate to check for lead piping and the INCOG REAP Grant.

Residents will be able to access and leave their homes while filming occurs and we will place signs to help direct the general public. Please contact us directly if you have any specific concerns about access.

We are working closely with The City of Sperry, Tulsa FMAC, and the Oklahoma Film Commission (405.522.9640). They feel that the film industry here is a valuable addition to the City and State, providing high level job opportunities with a low environmental impact. We greatly appreciate your discretion, help and consideration with this endeavor.

Thank you,

Great news for the Downtown Sperry renovation!!
After many months we finally have the last stage of the downtown renewal about to begin. Through agreements with Kevin Watkins, PSO, COX, Community Cable(VyVee) and now ATT, all the old telephone poles will be removed from downtown in front of the businesses on the west side of the street. All their lines will now be behind the buildings. This will open more of the area for parking, open the area for new sidewalks and have the area where the sewer collapse a few years ago paved. Be careful when driving downtown from Monday through Friday as their trucks will be there setting up the moves. If there are any needs to shut down access to ATT lines I will post it here on the “Town of Sperry: A great place to call home” page.

If you currently get a SUSA (Sperry Utility Services Authority) bill every month then we need to talk.
The Board is short 2 members. The Board meets ONE THURSDAY A MONTH!! That’s all just ONE THURSDAY a month from 6-7pm. We meet, look at budget, discuss Gas, Water, Sewer, then vote to pay the bills, and maybe see if there is money for new equipment. That’s it – volunteer one Thursday a month. The only qualification - is that you must be on SUSA services, you are not there by political party, SUSA members in Osage Oaks are welcome, age 18-100. We need you.
There are two ways to let us know you are interested = email me at [email protected] let me know why you are interested, OR come to the Board meeting this Thursday March 14, 2024 and talk to any Board member after the meeting. I will make this public if you want to pass it on to others that might not be on my friend list but please – monitor it so that it does not become negative. We need positive people.
