The results are in, and voters have defeated the 2026–27 budget by a 53-vote margin, while approving Proposition 2 and three Board of Education candidates. A total of 1,543 residents voted this year, with the following results:

• Proposition 1: the 2026-27 budget 798 (51.7%) opposed; 745 (48.3%) in favor
• Proposition 2: authorization to use reserves to purchase student laptops 920 (59.7%) in favor; 621 (40.3%) opposed

Board candidates:
1. Sean McCabe, 1,165 votes;
2. Mark McLean, 1,236 votes; and
3. David Gibbardo, 1,084 votes.

This outcome means we must now determine next steps, which could involve adopting a contingency budget or holding a revote in June. We will inform our community once a decision has been made.
