Will be sponsoring an Advanced Handlers and Problem Solving Seminar hosted by the Owego New York Police Department.
The seminar will be held at Owego, New York
June 13th –17th 2022
This is a working K-9 Team Seminar during with Nationally and Internationally
known trainers who will be providing training in the following deployment profiles.
Staff Sergeant Scott Barber (retired) Royal Canadian Mounted Police will lead the tracking training which will focus on Problem Solving, Development, Urban & Rural Environments and present his Training An Effective Tracking Police K9 Using Royal Canadian Mount Police Methodology
Staff Sergeant Gary Creed Royal Canadian Mounted Police Senior Trainer and acting Officer in Charge of RCMP Training Centre will assist in tracking and scent detection and will present his Fentanyl detection program that he developed
Police Officer Vanja Mikelic Town of Poughkeepsie (NY) Police Vanja will work with teams on problem solving for any deployment profile, and with any team seeking certification testing with the Eastern Police Canine Association.
Sergeant Tony Patricola (retired) Tony will work with teams on problem solving for any deployment profile, and with any team seeking certification testing with the Eastern Police Canine Association.
Captain Duane Shaffer (retired) is now a Canine Trainer for the TSA based out of Miami FL and will lead the Scent Detection: Narcotics/Explosives training.
Rik Wolterbeek formerly certified regional and national KNPV decoy for over 15 years in Holland and over 40 years training K9’s for patrol, tracking, scent detection and obedience, Rik is an expert with Dutch Shepherds and Malinois and will focus on protection, patrol, decoy training and problem solving
