Staff contributed to making groceries for wildlife yesterday. Food plots play an important role in supporting wildlife by providing reliable sources of nutrition, shelter, and habitat throughout the year. These planted areas help deer, turkey, pheasants, pollinators, and other species find the food they need during critical seasons such as winter, drought, or breeding periods. Food plots can also improve herd health, increase biodiversity, and reduce pressure on native vegetation by concentrating feeding activity in designated areas. When properly managed, they contribute to healthier ecosystems and create better opportunities for wildlife observation, conservation, and responsible hunting practices Oneota Conservation Foundation
