Way to go, Spencer Sparks 4-H Club/Sparklers Clover Kids! 💚⚾
From popping perfect popcorn to keeping the slushies flowing (finally behaving! 😄🍧), this crew showed what teamwork is all about. Even a late pizza delivery couldn’t slow them down—they jumped in, stayed flexible, and kept things running smoothly all night! 👏
That’s real-life learning in action while supporting the Together for Tomorrow campaign. Thanks for representing Clay County 4-H so well! 🍀
🍀 Clay County 4-H clubs are teaming up on Tuesday evenings to run the concession stand at the Spencer Youth Baseball & Softball fields!
By working together, clubs are helping raise funds for the Together for Tomorrow campaign to support improvements to the buildings and spaces used by 4-H at the Clay County Fairgrounds.
✨ On Tuesday, June 16th, the Spencer Sparks 4-H Club took their turn in the concession stand!
It was a beautiful evening to be at the ballpark, and the Spencer Sparks brought a great crew! Volunteers split into two shifts and handled concession stand responsibilities like pros, jumping in wherever they were needed and keeping things running smoothly all night.
I think this group may have perfected the popcorn recipe, too! 🍿👏
Our only hiccup of the evening was a late pizza delivery—and if that’s the biggest challenge we faced, I’d call that a successful night! 😄
Even better, the slushie machines seemed to appreciate the milder weather and decided to give their best performance of the season. After several weeks of heat-related attitude problems, they finally remembered their job description and kept the red and blue slushies flowing all evening long! 🍧😂
