Starting June 15th through July 15th, we’ll be kicking off a fundraiser, raffle, and a T shirt sale to help raise money for much-needed training equipment for our firefighters. 👨‍🚒🔥

Over the last month, two of our firefighters have dedicated their time to completing HMO training. Their commitment to expanding their knowledge and sharpening their skills helps ensure we are better prepared to serve and protect our community in hazardous situations.

Turns out the victim had 4 legs, whiskers, and absolutely no intention of cooperating.

After intense negotiations involving baby talk, a ladder, and one firefighter questioning his career choices, the suspect was safely taken into custody and returned to its owners.

No firefighters were injured…

Thank you for the strength, compassion, and dedication you show both at home and in service to our community. Whether answering calls, supporting your crew, or being there for your family, you represent the heart of the fire service every single day.

We would also like to shout out the spouses of our other firefighters. Your double parenting duty and nights without your husbands do not go unrecognized! Happy Mother’s Day to all you amazing wives of the Spencer firefighters!

Today’s SCBA training took away one of our most important senses—vision.

Our firefighters went through blindfolded SCBA drills to simulate zero-visibility conditions, focusing on staying calm, controlling breathing, and relying on touch, sound, and training to navigate and solve problems.

From mask confidence to emergency procedures, this type of training builds the muscle memory and mindset needed when conditions are at their worst.

Tonight all departments around EOC got to compete in a kick ball tournament. Battle of the boots for a charity event supporting special Olympics! Fire, EMS and police all showed up and showed out! It’s always fun getting several departments together to show support!

Thank you to the city of Choctaw for hosting this event! And congrats to saint Anthony’s for taking 1st place!
