Did you know that Homecoming festivities in 1926 did not include a football game? The main event for Homecoming that year was the dedication of Woodburn Hall, then called "College Hall." This photo shows homecoming queen Martha Olsen along with other performers from homecoming events.

This hand-colored lantern slide shows the fire lookout tower on Warren Peaks, Wyoming, in 1942. The structure was built in 1939 and was torn down in 1959 due to construction on the Sundance Air Force Station. A replacement tower was later built to the east of the original site.

Shown here is Black Hills College in Hot Springs, which was run by the Methodist Episcopal Church. Construction began on the building in 1888, located on what became known as "College Hill." It is said to have been the first stone building built in the city. The college held its first classes on September 11, 1890, with 24 students enrolled. Financial difficulties forced the school to close in the fall of 1900. The building was purchased by the city of Hot Springs in 1911 and converted into a public high school. The building was destroyed in a fire in January of 1924. The present Hot Springs High School building was built on the same site.
