Rhyaine won third place in the State of South Carolina and Heaven won first place in the State of South Carolina. We are extremely happy for them and very proud of their accomplishment. Great job!

Spartanburg Housing's recent 2026 Strong Families Event was a HUGE success thanks to our generous sponsors: UnitedHealthcare Palmetto Geriatrics Mary Black Foundation ReGenesis Health Care and City of Spartanburg Parks, Recreation & Special Events

Over 50 Spartanburg households were supported, connected to resources and celebrated with a variety of resources, from community partners and lots of good food, fun and smiles.

A big shoutout to Fuddruckers for providing an amazing meal for everyone that attended!

Thank you to Mayor Rice, Councilwoman Littlejohn and Captain Cheeks from the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office We appreciate your time and words for our amazing residents! The VENDORS were incredible. Thank you all for showing up and bringing the resources for the residents!

And, most importantly, the RESIDENTS that came and enjoyed themselves. Thank you all for engaging with the vendors, staff and volunteers!

Congratulations to one of our amazing Family Self-Sufficiency Graduates, and the owner of Pacesetter Studios, Cassidy Pace, who recently showcased her Senior Project at Spartanburg Community College.

We are extremely proud of the accomplishments Ms. Pace has achieved as a result of her focus, determination and hard work. We know that she is definitely on her journey to Self-Sufficiency.

The Resident Services Department has a busy week planned next week for our amazing residents!

Resident Resource Fair
On Tuesday, April 28th, we are hosting a Resident Resource Fair, for all Spartanburg Housing residents, at Prince Hall Apartments from 11 AM until 1 PM. RSVP is required and transportation will be provided for residents living at Camp Croft Apartments, JC Bull Apartments and Archibald Rutledge Apartments.

Mentoring Resource Fair
On Wednesday, April 29th, we are hosting a Mentoring Resource Fair at Prince Hall Apartments from 4:30 PM until 5:30 PM.

Households with school-aged children are strongly encouraged to attend to connect with local mentoring organizations. Several mentoring organizations will be providing a three minute "pitch" to families explaining what type of mentoring they provide. After the "pitch session" ends, households will have the opportunity to engage with the mentoring organizations that fit their specific family needs.

RSVP is required and transportation will be provided for residents living at Camp Croft Apartments. To RSVP, please contact Rebecca Dillow at [email protected] or 864-606-1391.

Congratulations to three of our youth residents who were recently inducted into the MBK Brotherhood at the 2026 Induction & Pinning Ceremony!

My Brother's Keeper Alliance of South Carolina partners with us by leading the B.O.S.S. Club weekly at one of our properties where participants learn about brotherhood and why it matters.

The event was held in the lovely auditorium at the SCC Downtown Campus.

🎓 Qualifications include:
• Associate's degree in social services or related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in any of the following, office administration, affordable housing, social services, program development, volunteer coordination and/or event planning.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with youth and young adults.
• Experience working with diverse populations and community partners.
• Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
