As we enjoy summer fruits & vegetables, the season reminds us safe food preparation is essential everywhere - including in our homes.

While South Carolina has not been identified as part of the current national Cyclospora outbreak, it’s still wise to *thoroughly* wash fresh produce under clean running water before eating, cutting, or cooking it. When appropriate, cooking produce provides a stronger layer of protection.

No single step eliminates all risk, but good food safety habits can help keep you & your family healthy.
