Spartanburg neighbors, your help matters.

In the last two weeks alone, 86 dogs and 62 cats have come through our doors. We've had a high number of intakes, and every pet in our care deserves a home, a foster, or someone to help spread the word.

Here's how to help:
ADOPT or FOSTER. Fees are waived for senior pets, adult cats, and any pet who's been with us for nearly a month — often the ones who end up waiting the longest. Adoption fees are $25 through Saturday, 9/12, for all other pets.

Paws on Wheels is back at the PRC for another vaccine clinic pop-up!

Once again, the low-cost mobile clinic will be set up outside the Pet Support Lobby THIS SATURDAY from 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm. 🐾

Services include:
- Core vaccines
- Rabies
- Heartworm testing and prevention
- Flea and tick prevention
- Microchipping

At the PRC, we believe Home Starts with You. Through prevention and proactive support, we work to reduce pet surrenders by helping families overcome challenges before they reach a crisis point.

Our facility provides care for animals with nowhere else to go, giving them the chance to heal and find their second chapter through adoption or rescue partners. But no single organization can solve animal welfare challenges alone. Fostering, adopting, volunteering, and community advocacy all play a vital role in finding the most positive pathway for the pets who need us.

If you need support with your pet, we’re here. Don’t hesitate to reach out.

LOST & FOUND: Luna’s Story💙

One photo in the Petco Love Lost database helped reunite Luna with her family after 20 days.

A resident found Luna dehydrated and in poor condition. Our ACO picked her up and brought her to the PRC, where we began our intake process — including taking her first photo. Immediately, facial‑recognition technology matched that photo to one already in their system.

Luna’s owners had filed a Lost Pet Report in early August, sharing contact info, details, and photos. That single report gave us exactly what we needed to identify her. Our team contacted her owners, verified proof of ownership, and reunited Luna with her family.

Don’t wait until your pet goes missing — register them with Petco Love Lost now so they’re already in the system if you ever need it.

Summer may be winding down, but intakes haven’t slowed, and many of our pets — especially seniors and those who’ve been with us for a while — are still waiting for the comfort of a real home.

Over the last 24 hours, 21 dogs and 12 cats have come to us abandoned or with no other option. Some have never known love at all. What they do know is that a kennel isn’t where they’re meant to spend their lives.

Adoption or fostering makes a difference. Even a short‑term foster gives a stressed pet a break, a soft place to land, and a chance to show who they really are. We handle the vet care, supplies, and support for all our foster parents.

To help these pets find their second chance, we’re WAIVING ADOPTION FEES for senior pets and pets who’ve been with us more than a month. They’ve waited long enough behind a kennel door.
