Today is our first 'Meet the Member' Monday. Every Monday we will be posting about a different member of our department so our community can get to know a little bit about our guys outside of what you may see out on calls.

Today we are showcasing Captain Vince Sloan. He is the shift officer for our A-Shift here at Hilltop and has served the Hilltop community for going on 6 years now. He is a valuable member of our team with a number of specialties such as Hazardous Materials Technician, Chlorine Response Specialist, Low Angle Rope Rescue, Confined Space Rescue Technician, Swiftwater Rescue, and Flood & Moving Water Boat Operations.

Hilltop Fire District would like to say a huge congratulations to our volunteers who completed their Firefighter series classes and have officially received their new helmets and probationary shields!

We couldn't be more proud of the hard work and dedication they showed this summer. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for each of you and we hope to see you all continue through your career with the same show of hard work and dedication! Congratulations guys!

Earlier this month Hilltop Engine 115 was invited to participate in Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office National Night Out held at Hope Point Church.

At this event members of our Charlie Shift were able to show the community one of our 3 fire engines and speak with community members about what our department does.

We would like to thank the SCSO for the invitation to spend the evening out with the community, as well as Hope Point Church for their hospitality!
