🗳️Over 370,000 ppl voted on the democratic ballot in the primaries, more than doubling the turnout in 2022.

🗳️Almost every county had over 20% voter turnout. Spartanburg has 22% voter turnout with 47,000 registered voters.

🗳️All but one statewide Dem candidate is between 25-49.

🗳️We're the only state in the south who has held off on redistrciting

🗳️Our goal is to help get 60% voter turnout for November 3!

📣Congratulations to our Spartanburg and statewide candidates on their primary victories last night!

✅Rep Henderson Myers will continue to serve HD31
✅Lekesa Whitner is the Democratic Nominee for Spartanburg County Council
✅ Mallory Dittmer is our nominee for CD5
✅Dr. Jermaine Johnson is our nominee for Governor
✅Dr. Annie Andrews is our nominee for US Senate

And thank you to all the primary candidates who stepped in to the arena and mobilized a record breaking turnout for democrats in SC. We doubled our turnout from 2022!

Now on to November 3 with every state house seat challenged.

📣Spartanburg! TUESDAY is the day. Get out and vote in the Democratic Primary 7am-7pm. You have more choice on your ballot than ever before including local races like County Council Chair and State House.

Primary runoffs, as needed, are set for June 23. In South Carolina, if no candidate gets at least 50% plus one vote in a primary, the top two vote-getters advance to a runoff.

Voters in one party’s primary can’t switch to the other party’s runoff ballot. They must stick with one party for the primary and runoff. In other words, people who vote a Democratic primary ballot can’t vote in the Republican runoffs two weeks later, and vice-versa.

Nearly 319,000 ballots were cast statewide during the two weeks leading up to Tuesday's election, according to the State Election Commission.
