SCHP and SC National Guard have ended emergency operations in Sptbg Co...Sptbg EOC is de-activated and closed!

Been at EOC all day...very quiet thus far from the county side. No power outages reported (yet). SC Highway Patrol command staff has set up shop in our EOC, monitoring road conditions and accidents, as well as inputing hourly situation reports. Lt's working 12hr shifts, will probably be here through Wednesday...

Very heavy snow currently falling in Spartanburg county, with approx 4" on ground. All roads snow covered and very dangerous. Most primary/interstates have one lane plowed. Visibility 1/4 mile, with light traffic. Please DO NOT go out unless its an emergency!!!!

Currently heavy snow falling from NE Georgia to Atlanta. Planning to get back out around 3am and check conditions. I will post updates as often as I can. Will be doing live phone interviews with media starting at 5am...lol...

Light flurries, 3" in Boiling Springs, 4-5" in Landrum. Secondary roads snow covered/slushy, interstates wet but clear.

Heavy snow again in Boiling Springs area. Roads wet but clear. Worse farther north towards NC state line. Have 2" on ground here, at least twice that much north of Hwy 11. Not much traffic though, and very few power outages thus far. Hope everyone stays safe and stays home in the morning!
