We may or may not have a plant swap table 😉

Get ready for the 2026 Discover Your Watershed event this Saturday! Join us at the Lake Cooley Outdoor Education Center, where registration begins at 10:00 a.m. Enjoy free lunch starting at 11:00 a.m. while supplies last. Don’t forget to complete your passport for a chance to win in the raffle, which will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the SJWD tent. Winners do not have to be present to win. If you are planning to take a kayak or paddle board session, be sure to use the registration link below to sign up! Parking may fill up quickly, so carpooling is encouraged.

Join us to learn more about beef cattle nutrition, bermudagrass grass stem maggot control, forage varieties and ongoing forage research.

This multidisciplinary event will include presentations from out-of-state Specialists covering research updates in beef cattle nutrition and bermudagrass stem maggot control. Additionally, attendees will have access to research updates from the forage-livestock systems (Dr. Silva's) program and will tour different sites to learn about:

-cool-season forage variety demonstration,

-w**d control updates

-cool-season mixture grazing trial, and more.

Panel Topics include: navigating meat handling regulations, budgeting and economics, working with a butcher, and successful nutrition
Panelists include Travis Howard, Owner/Operator of Knockout Butchery, Clemson Extension Agents and Specialists.

BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY! After dinner, during the panel discussion, youth can participate in a separate hands-on livestock activity led by Clemson 4-H and FFA in the new Animal Science Lab!

Free to Youth, 15 and under (register on-site). All Youth over 15, please register through the Eventbrite link below.
