Monitoring a developing situation in Roebuck, South Carolina where a man is barricaded in a home with shots being firing.

12/25/2025

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic disturbance Tuesday night on Birch Lane in Roebuck shortly before 9 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with a woman who had left her home to call 911.

After speaking with the woman, law enforcement sought to speak with the other individual involved in the incident, which led to the standoff.

Lieutenant Graham McLellan said, “They [deputies] went to the actual incident location and tried to get the gentleman involved to come outside and talk with them. While doing that, a round was fired from inside the house.”

In response to the gunfire, crisis negotiations and SWAT teams were dispatched to the scene to manage the situation. A shelter-in-place alert was issued to nearby residents as a precaution during the incident.

After several hours of negotiation, 45-year-old Robert Morrow was taken into custody.

Morrow now faces several charges, including attempted murder, high & aggravated domestic violence, resisting arrest with assault and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Morrow is currently in custody at the Spartanburg County Detention Center as authorities continue to investigate the incident.

Since it’s the holiday season and with people ordering gifts from trusted sources. Some people may attempt to steal them and or say they are theirs!!

Here are a few tips on avoiding this issue to occur. 1. Install cameras and a video doorbell
2. Require a signature
3. Use a package lockbox

Maybe consider to use alternative options

1. Ship to an alternative location
2. Use delivery lockers
3. Redirect or hold packages

Ask a neighbor for help: if you have a neighbor you trust you could ask them to look out for you. Let them know you got a package on the way and let them know a time it comes if it does have a time.

If you do have something stolen please report it to the police or sheriff’s office!! If you need their number I will provide that information as well. If you would like to make me aware of a situation please send a message and i will log it on my side.

(Note: I am not a law enforcement agency, I try and do my part on helping the community of Spartanburg to be safer!)
