The Garden of Dreams was created by Bill “Doc” Roston and his wife Judy over the last 19 years, and stands as a tribute to what can happen when creative vision, hard work, passion, and resplendent nature come together. The Garden is nestled at the center of 288 acres of pristine Ozark land, replete with springs, waterfalls, grotto, covered bridge, spring-fed lake, and reception pavilion. The many
rare and lovely plants in the gardens and grotto make The Garden of Dreams a splendid site for weddings, corporate or church retreats, family gatherings, parties, or any special occasion. For the past three years Weddings have been handled by Renee Newman, owner of the Forsyth Flower Cottage and Tea Room, and her sister Amy Knight. Ken Bavuso joined the staff in 2012 as General Manager, and with his help The Garden is experiencing a growth in larger scale special events such as the upcoming "Christmas in July at The Garden of Dreams", "The Garden of Dreams: Films in the Grotto", and "Halloween Horror at Honey Branch Cave". The Garden is located at the intersection of Route 14 and County Road 549 (Leming Road) approximately 20 miles east of I-65. (Please note that while the actual road sign clearly reads "Leming", many GPS and similar mapping systems spell the road name as "Lemming". IF TRAVELING FROM THE SPRINGFIELD/BRANSON AREA: just take I-65 to the South St./Sparta Exit, and travel east. About 11 miles past Sparta, MO, you will see a sign on the right for the Garden of Dreams. IF TRAVELING FROM THE AVA AREA: go west on Route 14 for about 15 miles, and watch for County Road 549 (Lemming Road) on your left.
