Alleghany County Schools would like to give a special shout-out to the Alleghany County Department of Transportation for working with us to develop new traffic patterns on the Trojan Avenue side of Sparta Elementary School and along Highway 21/Main Street. These improvements are designed to move vehicles off the highways more efficiently during morning drop-off and afternoon pickup, helping create a safer and smoother experience for our students, families, staff, and community. We greatly appreciate this partnership and commitment to school safety!

At last night’s Board of Education meeting, Kevin Royal was recognized for earning both his School Maintenance Electrician Certification and his C-Well and Septic Certification. These accomplishments reflect Kevin’s dedication to professional growth and to maintaining safe, reliable facilities for our students and staff. Our fifth-grade students from Glade Creek School, Piney Creek School, and Sparta Elementary School had a wonderful time exploring and learning during Environmental Science Day last week! 🌱🌲 A special thank-you to Alleghany Soil & Water Conservation District, NC Forest Service, and Alleghany County 4-H for providing this fun, hands-on educational experience for our students!
