🌎💚 What a day to remember! Our 5th graders had a blast celebrating our Conservation Field Day last week! 🌱

From hands-on activities to learning more about the world around us, our students got to explore, discover, and have FUN at our annual Field Day!

We’re so proud of their curiosity, enthusiasm, and conservation spirit! 💚🌎

Last week was full of hands-on learning! 🌱🔬 From Project WET at Stone Mountain, searching the creek for microinvertebrates, to Project SWAT workshops and learning valuable agriculture lessons to bring back into our classrooms. So many great experiences, ideas, and connections to share with our counties students! 💧🐛🌎

🌱 Fresh Veggies – FREE!🌱
Our community garden has some veggies ready! We have yellow squash, zucchini, green peppers, and tomatoes available FREE to anyone who can use them.

💚First come, first served
📍 Stop by and help yourself while supplies last!

Please share with friends and neighbors. We’d love for these fresh veggies to be enjoyed instead of going to waste. If you’re in town throughout the week stop by the community garden and pick what is ready!

🌱 Community Garden Update! 🌱

Our Alleghany Soil & Water Community Garden is starting to produce! We currently have a couple of fresh zucchini ready to be picked.

If you’d like some fresh, locally grown produce, stop by our office and let us know. Our garden is first come, first served, so once it’s gone, it’s gone!

As the season continues, we’ll keep everyone updated as more vegetables become available. Thank you for supporting our community garden—we’re excited to share the harvest with you! 💚🥒
