Today, the City of Sparta pauses to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the countless heroes who answered the call in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, emergency personnel, military members, and ordinary citizens who demonstrated extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and compassion.

Twenty-five years later, their stories remain a part of our nation’s history, and their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

Today, may we remember those we lost, honor those who served, and cherish the freedom and unity that bind us together.

Qualifications include high school graduate or GED, valid drivers license, State of TN Grade IV Wastewater Plant Operator Certification. The open position starts at $21.77 with benefits and paid time off.
