The Sparta Ambulance Squad wants to acknowledge a special occasion for one of our families today.

Abigail Wright, daughter of Captain Ben, Past Captain and Current Trustee Allyson, and sister of Cadet Captain Tyler, celebrated the end of her treatment and the start of a new chapter of her life today!

Abbie was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia on December 28, 2023 at 11 years old, and for the next two and a half years was under rigorous treatment and thankfully was able to ring the bell being cancer free on August 6, 2026 at 14 years old.

The Wright family never stopped, stood fiercely by Abbie, and still maintained their roles as members of the Sparta Ambulance Squad.

We are extremely proud of and so happy for Abbie and the Wright Family, and wish them nothing but the best!

Congratulations Abbie!!! 🧡🧡🧡

Sparta Township and Pope John Schools start tomorrow, and we want to wish our Cadet members (and general member Teachers and Staff!) a great first day of school! 🍎✏️🏫

We hope you have a great year and look forward to seeing you keep doing great things!

We can’t believe that it is already the time where we say good luck to our college group!

Summer is flying by, and these members have worked tirelessly answering calls, attending events and training, and pitching in where they can!

Over the next few days and weeks, they will disperse around the country to start or continue their studies, and we wish them the best of luck for a safe and successful school year! 📚📓🏫

We look forward to seeing you on your breaks!

Thank you to Sparta Police NJ for having us participate in their annual Junior Police Academy last week!

“Recruits” were shown the ambulance and taught basic first aid, and we even had a visit from our friends at New Jersey State Police NorthSTAR & SouthSTAR Air Medical Helicopter!

The pilots and medical crew explained what the Medevac was used for and then answered questions before they had to go on an assignment.

As part of the Sparta Police NJ Junior Police 👮🏻‍♀️👮🏼Academy, there will be a Medevac demonstration today at the Mohawk Avenue School.

So please do not be alarmed if you see a helicopter landing or taking off.

😱😱 WHAT. A. DAY!! 😱😱

Thank you to all of you who came out, donated, supported, or even shared information about our blood drive today!

We had an amazing turnout and we could not be more thankful!

Look for more scheduled drives in October and December!
