Attention Scott County members:

You may see personnel from TACC, a subcontractor working with OSMOSE UTILITY SERVICES, conducting post-inspections of Charter/Spectrum pole attachments located within the areas depicted in the image provided.

These Inspectors may be working near Owen Electric poles and within the Right-of-Way as part of the inspection process. Inspectors will typically be wearing high-visibility safety clothing and may also be wearing a hard hat.

For your safety and peace of mind, all authorized personnel should be able to:

-Identify themselves and the company they represent;
-Explain the purpose of their work;
-Provide a letter of authorization on Owen Electric’s letterhead.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we complete this work. If you encounter inspection personnel and have questions or concerns about their identity or presence in your area, please request the letter or call us directly for further details.

***Attention co-op members near Squiresville Road:

Beginning later this week, Owen Electric contractor, Epp-Lectric, will be conducting line upgrades on and around Squiresville Road in Owen County. Work is expected to be ongoing for the next several weeks, but no outages are anticipated to occur as a result.
Please allow these crews room to work and drive with caution!

A friendly reminder about system maintenance tonight…

System Maintenance Alert:

Due to a software update, payment systems will be down tonight, September 2nd beginning at 7:30 pm. Downtime is expected to be approximately 30 minutes. During this timeframe, the OEC Mobile app will also not be operational. We recommend delaying posting any payments on your electric bill until later in the evening or the following day. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Storms can happen any time of year, and the best time to prepare is before severe weather is in the forecast. As we recognize National Preparedness Month, take a few minutes this week to build or refresh your emergency kit. Include essentials like bottled water, nonperishable food, flashlights, extra batteries, a first-aid kit, medications, phone chargers and important documents.
