🍎☀️ Hancock County Schools is excited to announce our 2026 Summer Feeding Program! ☀️🍎

Beginning June 1, free breakfast and lunch meals will be available for all children 18 years old and younger at multiple locations throughout Hancock County.

📍 Meal sites include:

* Hancock Central High School
* Early Head Start
* CJE
* HC Youth Center
* HC Library

✅ Meals must be consumed on site
✅ Weekend meal kits will also be provided

📦 Parents can also pick up 7-day meal boxes every Tuesday at Hancock Central High School (Bus Ramp) from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM.

At Hancock County Schools, we are committed to ensuring our students continue to receive nutritious meals throughout the summer months. Please help us spread the word to families across our community! ❤️🐾

History was made on May 14, 2026, as Marvin E. Lewis Sr. Elementary School proudly celebrated the FIRST graduating class of the CHAMPS Program! ❤️💛

So many people made this moment possible. What began as a vision became a powerful reality through the dedication, mentorship, support, and collaboration of our school, families, community leaders, churches, businesses, and stakeholders.

A very special thank you to our CHAMPS instructors, Officer Jada Baugh and Deputy Marlo Primus, whose leadership, consistency, and commitment helped guide and inspire our scholars throughout this journey. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Sheriff Terrell Primus and the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department, along with every individual and organization that invested in our students and believed in this program.

To our CHAMPS graduates — continue to lead with confidence, character, and purpose. You are proof that when a community comes together for children, amazing things happen.

As we have officially closed out another amazing school year with our scholars at Marvin E. Lewis, Sr. Elementary School, we would like to thank our families, teachers, staff, and community for your continued support throughout the 2025-2026 academic year! ❤️💛🐾

We encourage all of our Bullpups to enjoy a fun, safe, and relaxing summer break filled with family, laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories. Remember to continue reading, practicing your skills, and preparing for another successful school year ahead! 📚🌞✏️

Please note that Certified and Support Staff will report back to work beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2026, to complete the post-planning portion of our academic year, which will conclude on Friday, May 29, 2026.
