There were lots of little smiling faces at our Storybook Table at the Adel Daylily Festival yesterday 😃. Through our Learning Connection project, we were happy to provide bags packed with coloring/activity books, crayons, prevention and safety books, and a Community Resource Guide for families. Thanks to our Family Connection Ambassador Tammie Bobo for representing CCFC and managing our Storybook Table ❤️💛❤️

Our friends at Lanier County Family Connection have been helping deliver supplies to firefighters who are fighting the wildfires to our east. Today we were happy to contribute a carload of laundry pods, toiletry kits, t-shirts and socks, body/hand wipes, Kindness Kits packed with snacks and candies to support their effort. Thank You to Bella (Lanier County intern) for picking up our donation and ensuring that it gets delivered to the firefighters! ❤️

This photo is part of the Pineland Road wildfire in Echols and Clinch county that has burned (and is still burning) over 16,000 acres and forcing some people to evacuate. Another wildfire in Brantley County has exploded to 5,000 acres and destroyed at least 47 homes as of this morning.

As wildfires are popping up all around us (including a large one in Sparks yesterday), PLEASE think about everything you do that could possibly cause a spark or a flame. ANYTHING THAT CAN CAUSE A SPARK CAN CAUSE A FLAME THAT CAN CAUSE A WILDFIRE 🔥

A huge THANK YOU to our friends from the Dept. of Community Supervision who delivered a truckload of basic essentials and household supplies today! We are always thrilled to see our probation officers because these donations from their clients allow us to serve many senior citizens and families through our partner agencies, senior centers, and childcare partners! ❤️
