We have a new addition to our team! Meet Elizabeth Mast, she will be taking over as the Tribe’s new Environmental Specialist! Let’s get to know her:

2. Where did you graduated from and/or where are you currently studying?
I obtained my BSc in Environmental Science with a minor in Biology at Nevada State University. I am currently completing my MSc in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno.
3. What projects are you lead for?
Monitoring Water Quality in the Summit Lake watershed, monitoring nonpoint source pollution, noxious w**d management, conducting outreach.
4.What is your field work experience?
I have worked for lake monitoring programs and conducted research at Castle Lake, Lake Tahoe, and Donner Lake. I have worked for local governments as nonpoint source pollution mitigator.
5.Why do you want to work with Summit Lake Paiute Tribe?
I want the opportunity to help the tribe conserve their resources through learning from them. I am passionate about aquatic conservation and am excited to be part of the team here.
6.What are your hobbies you have when you are off work?
I am a landscape artist, and enjoy fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. I try to get outside as much possible.
7.Finally, what are your goals you want to accomplish through working with the tribe in this upcoming field season ?
I look forward to helping develop water quality standards and continuing to build on the great programs we have.
