HSD community, let's send a huge congratulations to East High senior Marrione Barnes!

During East High's winter pep rally, Marrione was awarded the prestigious Dr. Donald M. Suggs Scholarship from Maryville University!

This highly competitive, full-ride scholarship is awarded to incoming African American freshmen from the St. Louis metropolitan area. It covers four years of tuition, room, and board — an incredible achievement!

Recipients are selected based on academic excellence, leadership potential, and commitment to community service. Even more impressive — only three students at Maryville University receive this distinguished honor each year!

We’re here! Join us from 9am to 1pm at East High School (11300 Dunn Road) for our HSD Teacher Recruitment Fair! We are seeking highly qualified teachers, librarians, counselors, social workers, administrators, and support staff to join the team.

Representatives from every HSD school are here to conduct in-person interviews, with some candidates eligible for same-day hiring recommendations. Individuals with a bachelor’s degree interested in pursuing teacher certification are also encouraged to attend. We look forward to seeing you!

Our Tech Titans Robotics team recently went on a field trip to Leonardo DRS, a government defense contractor. They got a tour of the facility, practice matches, practice judging interview and networking with other teams.

Due to weather conditions, Hazelwood School District will have an AMI Virtual Learning Day for today, Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025. Additionally, all buildings are closed, and all after-school and evening activities are also cancelled.

During AMI Virtual Learning Days, teachers assign student work via Google Classroom. In addition, teachers are available at designated times throughout the day via Google Meet. If you have any questions, please contact your classroom teacher or building principal.
