June is Internet Safety Month.
The conversations don't have to be heavy. They just have to happen.
Utah's children are safer when families pay attention.

As 1 of the 100 Affiliate ICAC agencies, our Special Victims Unit Detectives work with local, state, and federal agencies following more leads, working more cases and having more cases prosecuted.

One of the best tools to stop some of these cases from happening, having a conversation with you kids about internet safety.

With today being Memorial Day, we would like to express our somber gratitude and respect for all of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to keep our great nation free. To those Gold Star families and all of those who have lost a loved one in that great endeavor, you have our deepest condolences. Our Country would not be here today without the brave men and women in uniform that go into harm’s way to preserve and defend our Nation.

“To those before us, to those amongst us, to those we’ll see on the other side.”

Let us all strive to be worthy of their sacrifice.

The organizers for the "Run for Hope" 5k, that took place this morning in Payson City, recognized two of our Deputies for their efforts while helping with a young woman in crisis.

We are proud of the efforts of Deputies Edwards and Sampson and thankful for this recognition.

Last night, the Utah County Sheriff's Department hosted its annual awards ceremony to recognize the extraordinary, selfless dedication of the men and women who serve with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies and support staff were nominated by peers for acts of courage, teamwork, and tireless service throughout 2025.

In addition to Deputies and staff, several local residents were honored for lifesaving actions and quick thinking that saved lives. Congratulations to all recipients, you embody the best of our community. Thank you to the families and friends who support our public servants, and to every community member who stepped forward to help.

Here's to those who run to the sound of the guns, and who put community before self.

A little weekend safety brief as we head into the holiday weekend.
Have a great time with your families, and/or your friends. Grill something great and tasty on the BBQ. Maybe you're heading out of town. Whatever you have planned, celebrate in a way that doesn't land you on probation!

As we head into the holiday weekend. Please, take a moment to honor our brave men and women of uniform who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

The debt that has been paid for our Nation’s ability to be free was paid for by our Nation’s fallen and may their sacrifice never be forgotten.

Place some flowers on a grave, BBQ something tasty on a grill, have family gatherings, maybe even go on a trip. Just remember, our freedom is not free and honor the fallen.
