Tuesday June 2nd 10am is summer reading kick off day. We will welcome all the departments of the City of Southside and a few local businesses. Make sure you sign up for Summer Reading !!! Come out and support the ;library . This is a FREE event

* This is a age 10 and up event *TONIGHT !!! Monday June 1st come and meet American Pop Artist Michael Albert at 530pm .He will lead his Hands-On Collage workshop where participants (Kids & parents) will have the chance to create their own masterpieces using Albert’s materials of choice, namely Cereal Boxes & other colorful cardboard packages including cookie boxes, cracker boxes, soda cartons & many other well known consumer brands. All participants will receive a free signed poster of one of Albert’s creations as a special gift for joining him in this creative art making session. See less

Come join us Tuesday June 2nd at 10am for Summer Reading kick off day . Sign up for Summer Reading and enjoy all the Departments of the City of Southside . There will be a firetruck, police cars, lawnmowers, garbage truck, tractoras and SO much more. Also a few local businesses will be here to introduce their selves. We are looking forward to a wonderful Summer Reading 2026

Thursday June 18th at 5:30pm is our next paint class . LIMITED seating is available. $25 fee covers all supplies and a light meal. You must sign up in the library and pay to be able to come. No cards cash and check made to Tiffany Beal only. This is an EXAMPLE of what you would be painting. Note: After this Paint class there will not be another one until fall for Adults.

Summer Reading is LITerally around the corner. Many have asked how they can help. Here are some things that would be very helpful.
* Donations of bottled water, juice boxes, hand sanitizer, suckers or individually wrapped candy, gift cards to Walmart/Johnsons/pizza places where we can buy food for events, donations of money or time ( we always need a few extra hands ) and if anyone would like to sponsor Game night please let us know - we need a sponsor for July !
