As Labor Day weekend begins, all of us at Southold Library want to wish you and your family a happy, safe, and relaxing holiday weekend.

We are grateful to be part of such a wonderful community and appreciate everyone who visits, participates in our programs, checks out a good book, or simply makes the library part of their day.

Please note that Southold Library will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen and resume our normal hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

We hope you enjoy the long weekend and have a chance to relax, recharge, and spend time with family and friends.

It’s officially been one whole year since Olive the Osprey landed in our hearts, and we’re throwing a party to celebrate our favorite feathered friend! Join us for an afternoon full of treats, stories, and special surprises.

Here is what we have lined up for the celebration:

- Storytime with Miss Dana: A special reading of Pigstacio by Harry Antounucci, the designer behind Olive!
- Book Sale & Signing: Pick up your copy of Pigstacio and get it signed by the creator.
- Treats & Giveaways: Enjoy free cake, cotton candy, and party favors.
- Special Surprise: You’ll have to be there to see it! 🤫

Unwind with us on Monday, August 17th for our Summer Sunset Record Art Class! We’ll walk you step-by-step through painting a radiant sunset using acrylics on upcycled records.
