Their commitments to the success of the book cottage and the monthly raffle provide many contributions to the Southold Free Library. We have enhanced our library with such contributions as programs for children and adults, concerts, gardens, decor, bus trips, assorted classes and more. Our mission is to support the our Library in the ever-changing and ever-growing services that it provides to our

community, and we strive to raise funds to pay for the additional things that are not covered in the Library budget. Our founding purpose on July 29, 1954 was "to make a closer link between the library and its readers and to develop to the full its usefulness to the Community" We are, 60 + years later, still working toward that goal.
