Beginning October 1, 2026, there will be adjustments to water, sewer, and trash & recycling rates. These changes come from our partners—the City of Fort Worth (our water supplier), the Trinity River Authority (TRA), and Community Waste Disposal (CWD). As you plan your visit to Celebrate Southlake next week, accessible accommodations and amenities will be available throughout the event to help make your evening as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

♿ Accessible Parking: Designated accessible parking will be available near the event area.
🚻 Public Restrooms: Restrooms inside Southlake Town Hall will be open and available throughout the event.
✨ Accessible Viewing: A designated accessible viewing area will be available for the fireworks and light show finale.
🎧 Noise-Reducing Headphones: Headphones will be available for guests who may be sensitive to loud sounds, while supplies last.

When his teammates need him, Fire Driver/Engineer Chase Sanderson steps up. Seventy years ago this September, 54 residents gathered at the 1919 Carroll School and made a decision that would shape generations to come: they voted to create Southlake. Together with the Southlake Historical Society, we’re bringing 70 years of Southlake history together for one special evening.

This year's theme, Americans Stand Ready, encourages individuals, families, and communities to take simple steps to prepare for emergencies.

Throughout September, watch for our "Siren Says" series as the Southlake Siren shares preparedness tips, highlights community events, and encourages simple actions that can help you and your family stand ready for emergencies.

Join the Southlake community on Friday, September 11, at 8:30 a.m. at Liberty Garden for our September 11 Remembrance Ceremony.

This year marks 25 years since the attacks, and the ceremony will be filled with meaningful moments. Special guest speaker Bill Johnson, a retired NYPD detective who worked at Ground Zero, will share his story. The ceremony will feature 2,977 flags representing each victim, the opportunity to write messages of support to NYC fire and police stations impacted by 9/11, and a moment of silence to honor those we lost.

Join us tonight at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers for the City Council meeting!

This evening's agenda includes previews of the City's plans to celebrate Southlake's 70th anniversary at this year's Celebrate Southlake event on September 12, as well as the upcoming Remembering September 11 event on September 11.

The meeting will also include the first reading of the proposed FY 2027 Budget, giving City Council an opportunity to review and discuss the plan. The budget will return to City Council at the September 15 meeting for further review and consideration as part of the final approval and adoption process.

Big news, Southlake! The West Continental Boulevard Intersection Improvements Project is reaching a major milestone. The City will complete the final major concrete roadwork at the intersection of West Continental Boulevard and Davis Boulevard on Friday, September 4. The concrete work is expected to be completed by the end of the day, weather permitting.

A lane closure will be in place within the intersection work zone. Flaggers will alternate traffic through one open lane in both directions. Drivers should expect delays and use caution while traveling through the area.
