In this episode of SLK City Spotlight, Mayor Shawn McCaskill visits the playground at Bicentennial Park to uncover the work behind play. As Southlake celebrates its 70th anniversary, we take a look back at Adventure Alley and explore how playgrounds are designed to do much more than entertain. From climbing and swinging to balancing and exploring, these spaces help children build strength, confidence, creativity, problem-solving skills, and social connections.

Parks Crew Leader Percy Comafay also takes us behind the scenes to reveal the extensive inspections, safety checks, and maintenance efforts that help keep Southlake's playgrounds safe, clean, and ready for adventure.

Watch now and discover how every slide, swing, and climbing structure reflects Southlake's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Today, we celebrate each and every one of you. Thank you for the countless ways you show your love and support.

Wishing all the dads and father figures in Southlake a very happy Father’s Day!️
