RADIANCE: Art, Culture and Community celebrated its opening reception on July 16 at Southfield City Hall, where residents, artists, and community members gathered in the Main Lobby for an evening of art, conversation, and connection.

Eight Michigan artists. One stunning exhibition spanning painting, collage, fine woodwork, and watercolor — each piece a window into culture, identity, and creative expression.

Featured artists: Robert Trammell · Kenneth Hershenson · Jay Roberts Nigil McReynolds · Ashley Menth · Luba Elizabeth · Larry Conerly

The exhibition is free, open to the public, and on display now through September 30, 2026. No ticket. No cost. Just walk in and experience it for yourself.

Join in the Celebration… Juneteenth 💯

Southfield will commemorate Juneteenth with a week of community events, educational programming, live entertainment, and cultural celebrations from June 13–20. Residents and visitors are invited to take part in activities honoring Black history, culture, creativity, and community connection throughout the city.

The weeklong celebration features opportunities for reflection, wellness, music, storytelling, poetry, art, and fellowship for all ages.

Southfield’s Juneteenth Celebration will kick off with the raising of the Juneteenth flag on Saturday, June 13 at 9:30 a.m. at the circle drive in front of City Hall, 26000 Evergreen Road.
