she did not deserve to be beaten by police officers she deserved mental health care not criminalization.
Diressee L Wilson is a Black woman, who is 48 years of age. Her family members describe her as someone who has a significant mental health condition, and a beautiful queen.
On Thursday, 8/18/22 in Pontiac, MI a call was placed for a welfare check, and two police officers, as well as a mental health
Co-Responder arrived to the location where Diressee Wilson was.
Initially, the Mental Health Co-responder began to talk to Diressee. Shortly after, the deputies on sight began to engage with her.
The officers at the scene claim she was trying to light a face cloth on fire and that she swung on them.
The two officers tackled Diressee
to the ground, restrained her, kicked, punched and tassed her multiple times before they arrested her.
Diressee has multiple bruises on her face and neck due to the attack.
When Oakland County Undersheriff Curtis Childs was asked why the officers felt punching her was necessary, he stated:
βShe resisted the arrest and we did what we had to do to try and get her under control.β
"It takes whatever force we have to do to gain compliance and that's what was being done."

In Response to the Incident, Mayor Tim Greimel called for both officers involved to be suspended pending an investigation.
Undersheriff Curtis Childs said the deputies will not be suspended because "this was not a use of deadly force."
Pontiac City council President Mike Mcguinness released a statement calling the footage "disturbing and jarring."
βIt also brings back to the surface the sad truth about our societyβs current solution for residents struggling with mental illness is mainly policing which isn't fair to those struggling residents or to the police."
McGuinness said (Source: The Oaklandd Press).
Diressee Wilson was scared and in fear for her life. There is no justification for punching, tasing, and arresting a woman because she has a mental disability. Those who live work and recreate in the city of pontiac deserve non-carceral mental health services.
