Eagle View Season 2026 is over and what a epic season. The weather was a challenge, with the most days closed and delays I had to announce. We had Snow, Rain, Ice, Fog and frigid temps!

We started out the season with counts of about 8 but ended the season with record numbers. Our last weekend we saw about 25 eagles on Saturday, which was a very windy day, so they were up and soaring. Sunday, we saw about 18 eagles and less wind, so they were perched more and feeding more. What a great weekend to end the season on.

Thank you to all our wonderful, dedicated and enthusiast volunteers. They showed up in the rain, snow and cold! Thank you to all our visitors that inspire us to continue sharing the success story of the Bald Eagle. Thank you to The Connecticut Audubon Society, Christine's Critters Inc. and Horizon Wings Raptor Rehabilitation and Education for joining us and sharing the stories and their ambassador birds and continuing to spread the word about wildlife and environmental conservation and education

If you have reservations for today.....once Again the weather has us concerned with icy roads, so we will be opening at 10am. This will allow us to make sure our parking lot and access road is clear of ice. Thanks for understanding and drive carefully.

Another weather forecast has shut us down. We are sorry to announce that due to the snow, wind and sub zero temperatures forecasted for this weekend, we will be closed both Saturday 2/7/2026 and Sunday 2/8/2026. The decision is for the safety of all our staff, volunteers and visitors. Have a safe and warm weekend. Please note Christine's Critters Inc. has canceled their Bird Program for tomorrow as well due to the wind and cold for safely of their birds.
