This week's arrangement from Marilyn Stivers is "The Bunny's Meadow: Homage to Bunnies." This arrangement will only be up for the next day or two, so be sure to hop by the library and take a look in-person if you want to see it. Special thanks to Nancy Mayo from the Southborough Gardeners this week for assisting Marilyn.

The Southborough Library would like to take a moment to remember the life and legacy of Dolly Parton. Dolly's commitment to literacy and providing books to children in need is not often the first thing people think of when they hear her name, but her contributions were significant and life changing to so many people - she gave books to kids who desperately needed them. The Friends of the Southborough Library would like to thank local resident Kristina Arroyo for a donation made to them in Dolly's name that will support services at our library. We had lots of fun with children's activities in August! Jonathan Todd, author of Timid, returned for a 5th year of the popular Comics Camp. Then we learned how to make and launch rockets, thanks to high school student and aerospace enthusiast Vainika. The rockets went so much higher than we were expecting! We were wowed by some really cool magic tricks from Ed Popielarczyk's Comedy Magic, Balloon Twister, & Flea Circus Ring Master, and enjoyed ice cream and lawn games the next week. Finally we chased giant bubbles with Mr. Vinny the Bubble Guy! Thanks to The Friends of the Southborough Library for helping to bring these great events to our community and Southborough Recreation for sharing their lawn games!
