It is official! Southaven Municipal Court has MOVED!
The old FRED’S building is now completely renovated and is home to the Southaven Municipal Court.

We are very proud to breathe life into this old building and revitalize another landmark in “Original Southaven”.

Yesterday, Mayor Musselwhite and the Board of Aldermen unveiled the newest plaque on the City of Southaven Tribute Wall honoring former Police Chief, Tom Long.

Surrounded by family and friends, Chief Long was recognized for the strong foundation he established within the Southaven Police Department and the many contributions he made throughout his career. Those in attendance reflected on his integrity, the guidance and encouragement that he provides to others as well as his selfless leadership.

True to his humble nature, Chief Long accepted the honor by sharing credit with those who supported him along the way.

Congratulations, Chief Long, and thank you for 36 years of outstanding service and leadership to our community.

Next week, Southaven Municipal Court will be moving to their new building at 8912 Northwest Drive. (Across the street in the newly renovated Fred’s building)

The phone number will not change but there will be temporary interruptions to Court phone service on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 26-27, 2026.
